Of course! |
A new anime season has started. Let's take a look at some of what's out there!
Shimoneta to Iu Gainen ga Sonzai Shinai Taikutsu na Sekai
Censorship law taken to the next level! Bad words of any
kind are not allowed. You can’t even say ass or learn how babies are made.
Only a Perverted Terrorist can save Japan’s youth!
Wacky. Funny. Ridiculous. The dirty jokes are kind of meh,
but the protagonist plays the straight man well enough. Worth keeping an eye
on.
Plus, dat porn movie.
Senki Zesshou Symphogear GX: Believe in Justice and Hold a
Determination to Fist
In Space Everyone can hear you Sing! |
Without a doubt the best first episode of the season.
Mainly due to the first five minutes.
Seriously, that was awesome.
Take that, K2! No one liked you anyway.
Beyond those five minutes, it was a pretty standard first
episode. Reintroducing the cast. Setting up the approaching thread. Etc.
Rokka no Yuusha
Mesoamerican.
That’s really the first word that comes to mind. Six heroes
get chosen to defeat the big bad Demon Lord, but with a Mesoamerican paint job.
MC looks pretty cool and there is a bunny girl so that’s a
plus.
Chaos Dragon
The important characters are in the background |
What do you get when five guys among which are Kinoko Nasu, Gen
Urobuchi, and Ryohgo Narita get together for some role-playing? You get Red
Dragon.
When you adapt it to anime and change more than a few things in the process, you get Chaos
Dragon.
I’m not really feeling the Dragon Pact with Ibuki here. Or
the evil Not China.
Eh, in the end this is anime you watch for Swallow and Lou.
You can skip everything else.
Aquarion Logos
Another installment in the Aquarion Saga. The main character
is… how to say this…
At least he isn’t Amata?
He’s kind of a big unknown right now. Stoic but not really
in a stone-cold badass way. It’s just really odd stoic. He’s an odd fish.
Character designs are average-ish. Plain even. Or maybe that's just the art style? The battle
was suitably ridiculous though, so there’s the plus side.
Seriously, Gattai NTR. That is all.
