Nobunaga the Fool 13-14

Someone is planning things!

Mitsuhide

As you may have noticed I did not really review an episode last week. There is a simple explanation for that.

It was boring.

I mean, there was some Round Table stuff and Hideyoshi got a nice moment but for the most part it was Mitsuhide feeling bad about losing Ichihime.

Guy lost her fair and square. She pretty much threw herself at him and he still said no.

As a Caesar/Ichihima shipper, I can’t really enjoy an episode about how tragic the love between Ichihima and Mitsuhide is
.
The whole “suffering in silence” thing never really suited my tastes.

Caesar is Awesomer than All

See? He makes her smile!
Scenes between Caesar and Ichihime make my inner shipper happy.

He even made cake for her. Has Mitsuhide ever made cake for her? No? Didn’t think so!

But seriously, the interaction was cute, and I liked that he made her laugh.

This episode also showed how Caesar is different and better than Mitsuhide. Push comes to shove, Mitsuhide chooses the country. The same can be said for Ichihime.

Caesar will choose the girl.

Also, it’s nice to see he can use his super cannon anytime. Mitsuhide was so jealous there.

As an aside, Ichihime was adorable holding that weapon.

Hello and Goodbye

I don't get paid enough for this.
Members of the Round Table and famous figures are reduced to villains of the week.

Oh Japan.

They were kind of interesting, but I can’t help but think they were wasted. At the end, Kenshin completely kicked their asses.

Hell, they both die.

At least they managed to accomplish something, capturing Jeanne.

Regarding Jeanne this episode. Can’t really blame here for her actions. Nobunaga forced her to act by disregarding the hostages’s lives (who really should have died the moment they got frozen but whatever).

What she did was not the best choice, but it allowed Nobunaga to not become a guy who kills his own people.
