Shingeki no Bahamut Genesis

This anime was a surprise.

A really big surprise.

Nevertheless, it has one of the strongest first episodes of the season.

A cute girl... or is she? 

Okay, so the episode starts with some guys fighting and stuff. And a dragon.

Whatever. You guys have seen that shit a thousand times. Then we move to the present, where two guys are having a horse chase.

Yes, horse chase.

Through the rooftops.

I kind of got a Pirates of the Caribbean vibe here to be honest, especially near the end of the chase.

The two guys are bounty hunters. Favaro is a… well, he’s kind of a douche. He’s a rogue and not the least bit embarrassed about it. He will lie and cheat if it gets the job done.

He is also a lot more competent than you'd expect.  

Kaisar is the straight guy. He seems to come from a well-to-do family that has fallen on hard times… thanks to Favaro apparently.

So yeah, there are some issues there.

Then there’s the girl.

Who is actually a demon.

With whom Favaro has unintentionally made a contract with.

Yeah, that kind of sucks for him.

On the plus side he gets tail. Hehe.

Anyway, this was a pretty strong start. Animation is good enough. Action was great and Favaro is a pretty interesting dude.
